Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday March 10, 1942
Mrs. Caroline Wise Johnson, aged 91, widow of Joshua C. Johnson, died at the 
residence, 2005 Maryland avenue, East Fairmount Park, yesterday morning at 
8:40 o'clock.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J.W. Rawlings, of Norfolk, and Mrs. 
E.R. Gale, of Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Edward W. Johnson, of Norfolk and 
A.T. Johnson, of Detroit, Mich.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Lloyd E. Warren of 
Norfolk and a great-granddaughter, Miss Elizabeth Elliott Warren.  Mrs. 
Johnson was a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and had been a 
resident of Norfolk for 15 years.
The body will be taken from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Spurgeon 
Memorial Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Johnson was a member, for funeral 
services tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
