Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 8, 1990

Thad Johnson Jr., 70, of the 2800 block of Villa Circle, a retired 
brickmason, died Aug. 6, 1990, in a hospital.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Johnston County, N.C. He was of the Holiness 
faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Claudette Burke of Norfolk and Loretta 
Johnson of New York City; three sons, Thad D. Johnson of New York City, 
Michael D. Johnson of Silver Spring, Md., and Christophus Johnson of Hawaii; 
a brother, Frank Johnson of Hampton; nine grandchildren; and a great-
grandchild.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Magnolia 
Cemetery by the Rev. J.L. Kearney Sr. Family and friends will assemble at 
11:15 a.m. at graveside. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
