Last rites for Isiah Johnson of 1120 Chapel street, were held Sunday afternoon 
at St. Paul CME Church.  The Rev. Oliver J. Allen, pastor, officiated.

Mr. Johnson, an employee of a local hardware company for a number of years, died 
in a Norfolk hospital Oct. 8 after a short illness.  He  had been active in 
Norfolk fraternal affairs for many years.

A native Norfolkian, he was a son of Taylor and Mrs. Sallie Johnson.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Greater Norfolk Elk Lodge 32, the Norfolk 
Social Beneficial Association and George Carver Buffalo Lodge 9.

Surviving are an aunt, Mrs. Lena Elliott, and one niece, Mrs. Martha Miller, 
both of New York City.

Burial was in Mount Olive Cemetery with Baker Funeral Home in charge.
