Elder T. Godfrey officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Johnson of 878 Johnson avenue died Dec. 22 in a Norfolk hospital. A native of Mecklenburg county, he had been in Norfolk 30 years. He sang in the choir at St. Mary Church. He is survived by his wife, four sons, George, Richard and Mack Johnson, all of Norfolk, and Robert Johnson of New York City; and four daughters, Mesdames Nancy B. Cheeks, Martha Gordon and Josephine Corum, all of Norfolk, and Mrs. Lucy Johnson of New York City. Also, two sisters, Mrs. Annie Alston of Washington and Mrs. Mary McNair of Southern Pines, NC; and two brothers, Richard Johnson of Norfolk and Robert Johnson of Washington. Morning Glory Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
