A funeral service was held at Shiloh Baptist Church on Sunday for Clarence 
Edward Johnson of 717 Roswell avenue, who died in a local hospital Jan.23.

The Rev. W. L. Hamilton officiated at the rites.  Interment was in Calvary 
Cemetery under direction of Hale Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson was a Norfolk native, and the son of Ned Johnson and Mrs. Addie 
Johnson.  He was a member of Eastern Light Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary F. Johnson;  a son, Clarence E. Johnson 
Jr.;  a daughter, Mrs. Deloris Johnson of New York;  a sister, Mrs. Edna 
Williams of Norfolk;  a niece, Mrs. Geraldine James;  and four grandchildren.
