Norfolk - Funeral services were held Friday for Mrs. Texanna Johnson of 1400 
Marsh street in New Central Baptist Church by the Rev. W. B. Westbrook.  Burial 
was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Pretlow Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a daughter of the late John and Mrs. 
Maggie Ward.  Mrs. Johnson was a member of New Central Baptist Church.  She died 
March 8 in her home.

Surviving are seven nieces, Mrs. Maggie Morris of Baltimore, Mrs. Fannie Boyer, 
Mrs. Lena Hines, Mrs. Dorothy Pryer and Mrs. Cora Lee Sample of New York, and 
Mrs. Viola Haskins and Mrs. Marie Haskins of Norfolk;  and a nephew, Peter 
Parker of New York.
