Norfolk - Final rites for Mrs. Hattie V. Johnson of 2304 Carey avenue were 
recently conducted in the chapel of Hale Funeral Home.  The Rev. F. P. wise 
officiated.

A native of Raleigh, NC, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mrs. Hattie 
Sanford and the widow of Walter Johnson.  She was a former member of Holy 
Temple.

Survivors include two sons, Walter Johnson Jr. and Owen Lee Johnson;  one 
daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Winfred;  one brother, Charlie Sanford;  two sisters, Mrs. 
Joseph Woodley and Mrs. Carrie Woodard, and 12 grandchildren.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
