Rockaway Beach, NY - Robert Edward Johnson died in his home.  A native of 
Manson, NC, he was a son of Philip and Mrs. Lillian C. Johnson and the husband 
of the late Mrs. Annabelle Johnson.

He was an auto mechanic and a member of First Baptist Church, Woodland avenue.

Surviving are three brothers, George Johnson, Mack Johnson, and Richard Johnson 
of Norfolk;  and four sisters, Mrs. Nancy Cheeks and Mrs. Josephine Corum of 
Norfolk, Miss Lucy Johnson of New York, and Mrs. Martha Gordon of Portsmouth.

Services were held in First Baptist Church, Crestwood, Chesapeake, by Dr. J. L. 
Fenner.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk, in 
charge of arrangements.
