The Virginian-Pilot, Friday, October 19, 1973

NORFOLK - Mrs. Inez G. Johnson of 1237 W. 41st St., an employe of Old Dominion 
University, died there Wednesday.

A native of Cleveland County, N.C., she was the widow of David O. Johnson.

She was a member of the Usher Board of United Methodist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Ruth James, Mrs. Barbara Stewart, Mrs. 
Janice Black, Mrs. Daine Thomas, Miss Sharon K. Johnson, and Miss Phyllis 
Johnson of Norfolk; and two sons, Melvin Husch Jr. of Norfolk and Reginald Jones 
of the Bronx, N.Y.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home.

Additional Comments:
The obit lists middle initial as "G", no indication of that anywhere else.
