NORFOLK - Mrs. Agnes B. Johnson, 31, of 1007 35th St., the wife of George 
Johnson Sr., died Tuesday in Portsmouth Naval Hospital after a long illness.

A native of Edgecombe County, N.C., she was a daughter of Arthur and Mrs. Anna 
Blanche Jones.

She was a member of Edgecombe (N.C.) Missionary Baptist Church and Eastern Star.

Besides her husband and parents, surviving are two daughters, Ursula Nichole 
Johnson and Shelia Johnson of Norfolk; three brothers, Raymond Jomes of Hampton, 
Elmor Ray Jones of San Antonio, Tex., and Marvin Earl Jones of Margreville, 
N.C.; and five sisters, Mrs. Doretha Collins and Miss Bettie Jones of North 
Carolina, Mrs. Annie Dupree of Newport News, Mrs. Mary Edge of Norfolk, and Mrs. 
Beatrice Wynn of French Morocco.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 
Lamberts Point, by the Rev. M.L. Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery 
with Twilight Funeral Home in charge.
