NORFOLK - Mrs. Alice R. Johnson, 95, of 1434 Lead St. died Wednesday in her home 
after a long illness.

A native of Warrenton, N.C., she was a daughter of James and Mrs. Polly Reid and 
the widow of Richard D. Johnson.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Congregational, a former 
member of its Missionary Board, and a member of Douglas Park Garden Club.

Surviving are two sons, Dr. James H. Johnson of Chicago and Alfred S. Johnson of 
Philadelphia; two daughters, Miss Roberta A. Johnson of Norfolk and Mrs. Willie 
Lee Flowers of Chicago; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 62 great-
great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Union United Church of 
Christ, Congregational, by the Rev. J.M. Copeland. Burial will be in Calvary 
Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Service in charge.
