NORFOLK - Annie T. Johnson of 2226 Marshall Ave., the widow of James Johnson and a
native of Smithfield, died Saturday in her home.

She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church and a former member of its Deaconess
and Usher boards.

Survivors include six daughters, Lillian Helton, Gracie Anderson, Gwendolyn
Williams, Beatrice Alexander and Alice Smith, all of Norfolk, and Edna Cuttino of
New York; two sons, James Richard Johnson of Norfolk and Robert Johnson of Chicago;
10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in new Calvary Baptist Church by Dr.
Milton A. Reid. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in the
church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. A Wake service will be held in Graves Funeral Home from
7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The family will be at her home.
