Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch June 15, 1953
Miss Emily Elizabeth Johnson, daughter of the late Howard N., and Mrs. Mary Nelson 
Johnson, a native of Baltimore, Md., and a former well-known resident of Norfolk, 
died Thursday at Washington, D.C. The body was taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments to Elmwood Cemetery where services were held privately at the grave 
today at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., rector of Christ and St. Luke's 
Church. Undertaker's assistants served as pallbearers.
