NORFOLK — Ernest Robert Johnson, 56, son of the late Jeptha W. and Mrs. Susie 
Wilson Johnson, died Friday at 8:20 p.m. at a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 400 Fairfax Ave. at 
the time of his death.
Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Carl M. Pope and Mrs. Bernard Belote Sr., and 
an uncle, S. M. Wilson, all of Norfolk.
Services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 2 p.m. 
by the Rev. W. F. Gregory, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery. The family will assemble at the residence of his sister, Mrs. 
Carl M. Pope, 2701 Dunkirk Ave.
