NORFOLK — Mrs. Mary Lee Johnson, 68, wife of Wilmore M. Johnson and daughter of 
Thomas A. and Mrs. Maggie Lee Melson Brown, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday 
at 10 a.m.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Looper and 
Mrs. Annie Lashmet, both of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a stepson, Wilmore R. Johnson, 
of Fort Pierce, Fla., three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Beckwith, of Pontiac, Mich.; 
Mrs. Margaret, Stiesienko, of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Ruth Lee, of Norfolk; 
three brothers, Olaf H. Brown, Frank C. Brown and H. Dewey Brown, all of 
Baltimore; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 9605 19th St., East 
Ocean View. The family will assemble at 943 Veto St.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Wednesday 
at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
