Norfolk Virginian December 11, 1894
Mr. Wm. Johnson, an old and highly esteemed citizen, died at the home of his son, 
on Price street, Sunday morning about 8 o'clock, in his 69th year. Mr. Johnson 
leaves one son and three daughters to mourn his death. His funeral took place 
yesterday afternoon from St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Rev. Robert Gatewood 
conducted the services and the remains were taken to Norfolk for interment. the 
following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: J. F. Dalby, Thos. Sykes, J. P. Keeling, 
L. Hyslop, Sr., W. H. Lyons and Wilson Beal.
