On Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, the angel of the Lord peacefully and swiftly took our 
very special son and brother to take his place in paradise.

Kevin James Johnson, 49, was the youngest son of Marion Ruth Johnson and the late 
Arthur T. Johnson.

Affectionately called "Jimmy" all of his life, he was the centerpiece of the 
Johnson family because of his particular handicap. He regularly attended the 
IMAGES Program in Virginia Beach.

Jimmy was a lifelong member of the Basilica of St. Marys of the Immaculate 
Conception. If you ever met him, you'd never forget him, and he would never forget 
you either.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted mother, Marion Ruth 
Johnson; three brothers, Arthur Graige Johnson, Michael Johnson (Phyllis) and 
Dwight Richardo Johnson (Mabel); a sister, Michele C. Logan (Sammie); six nephews 
and a niece; a loving uncle, James M. Boyd Jr.; and a host of other loving 
relatives and friends.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday at noon at the Basilica of 
St. Marys of the Immaculate Conception, Norfolk, by the Rev. Father John Dorgan. 
Viewing will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service, Norfolk. 
Burial will be at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
