Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, May 14, 2001 
NORFOLK - Marie Haywood White Johnson, 98, quietly slipped away at home, 1715
Willoughby Ave., on Friday, May 11, 2001. The widow of the late Harold C.
Johnson, she was a life member of St. John's AME Church.

She is survived by her only child, Bernadine E. White.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday at noon at St. John's AME Church by the Rev.
Larry S. Hinton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Family and friends will
assemble at the church at 11:30 a.m.

Marie requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's
AME Church Repair Fund. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
