The Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 8, 1937
Mrs. Maria Louise Johnson, age 89 years, widow of Thomas Littleton Johnson, and 
daughter of the late Dr. William H. and Mrs. Lucy Biggs Harrison, a native of 
Sussex County, and for the past 38 years a resident of Norfolk, died at 9:15 
o'clock yesterday morning at the residence, 733 Raleigh avenue, after a 
lingering illness.  She is survived by four sons, Henry H., W. Taylor, and 
Mason 
W. Johnson, of Norfolk, and Alonzo W. Johnson, of Baltimore, Md., and a number 
of grandchildren.  Services will be held at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 
610-12 East Freemason street, tomorrow at 12 o'clock noon, with the Rev. Sparks 
W. Melton, D.D., pastor of Freemason Street Baptist Church, of which Mrs. 
Johnson was a member officiating.  Interment will be private in Cedar Grove 
Cemetery.
