Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, October 18, 1998 
NORFOLK - Hazel Gray Johnson of the 1200 block of Bunsen Court, died Oct. 15,
1998, in a local hospital.

Born in Norfolk, she was the widow of William Johnson. She was a member of First
Calvary Baptist Church and the Missionary Society, Norview Senior Citizens Club,
and was vice president of the Lake Taylor Residence Group.

Survivors include two daughters, Lena Johnson Nichols of Chesapeake, Barbara
Johnson McCoy of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild. She was the daughter of the late Lazarus Gray and Sarah
Faulk Gray.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in First Calvary Baptist Church by
Dr. Johnnie L. White Sr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be
taken to the church at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the residence.
Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
