Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, April 2, 1998 
Mary Johnson, 79, of the 6300 block of N. Military Highway, died March 31, 1998,
in Lake Taylor Hospital.

Born in Norfolk, she was a member of Solid Rock Church of Christ Disciples,
Norfolk. She was the widow of James Johnson and a housewife.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary J. Thomas; grandchildren, Antonio E.
Williams, Wendell E. Thomas, Lamont L. Thomas, Marcus D. Thomas, all of Norfolk;
son-in-law, Horace Thomas; and great-grandson, Jaques B. Robinson.

A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Cemetery . Hale
Funeral Home is in charge.
