JOHNSON, ALPHEUS – At New York City, Saturday, July 29, 1944, ALPHEUS JOHNSON, son 
of the late William Richard and Mrs. Mary Esby Johnson, in the 45th year of his 
age. Remains will be brought to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 
Colonial avenue, pending arrangements.

Alpheus Johnson - Funeral services for Mr. Johnson, who died in New York, were 
held at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments yesterday morning at 11 o’clock, with 
the Rev. M. J. Harrison, pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, 
officiating. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers, Dr. T. M. 
Vorbrinck, John Turner, J. W. Humphries, Michael Buchanan, C. C. Lawrence, Elvin 
B. Miars, J. Roland Miars and William Hunter.
