NORFOLK - Mabel L. Johnson
of 6360 Glenoak Drive, a native
of
Charleston, S.C., and 
the widow of
 Shirley Johnson, died Thursday in a hospital.
She had been
 a stewardess
 for the Old Virginia Ferry before her

retirement.
 She 
was a 
graduate of St.
 Francis De
Salles Convent 
School,
Rock
Castle, Va.,
and was a

member of St.
 Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessie Fincham of Norfolk.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the 
Rev. Thomas Quinlan. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, with Riddick Funeral 
Service in charge. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday and a Christian wake 
will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. The family will be at her home. 
Memorial donations may be made to the church restoration fund.
