Norfolk - James L. Johnson of 400 E. Brambleton Ave., the husband of Mrs. Jennie 
Johnson and a native of Norfolk, died April 23 in a hospital.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bass of New York and Mrs. 
Arnetta Hicks of Norfolk; and two brothers, Joe Askew and Herman Askew of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Graves Funeral Home.
