Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, September 2, 1999 
Flora B. Johnson, 71, of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway, went home to be with
the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital. She was a
member of First Baptist Church of Bolling Brook and retired from DePaul Medical
Center after 25 years of service.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lonnie L. Johnson Sr. and a son, Larry D.
Johnson. Survivors include four sons, Col. Lonnie L. Johnson Jr. of Alexandria,
Va., Rodney K. Johnson of Chesapeake, Thomas F. Johnson of Norfolk and Terrance
K. Johnson of Virginia Beach; three daughters, Joan B. Johnson and Melba R.
Jackson, both of Virginia Beach and Phyllis P. Johnson of Norfolk; one brother,
John P. Barnes; one sister, Audrey C. Sweatt, both of Norfolk; 14 grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Paulette E. Johnson of
Alexandria and Celisa Johnson of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church,
Litte Creek Road, Norfolk, by the Rev. Clinton Brown. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . The family will receive friends at 7427 Hughart St., Norfolk. Graves
Funeral Home is in charge.
