Norfolk - Funeral rites for Mrs. Alice S. Johnson, 50, 2744 Virginia Beach Blvd. 
were conducted Nov. 19 in First Baptist Church, Bute Street. The Rev. H. T. 
Myers officiated.

A native of Norfolk, she was the wife of Wellington Johnson and a daughter of 
Mrs. Ella Savage and the late Sidney Johnson.

She was retired from the Naval Supply Center in 1962 after five years of 
service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street and its number 
one board. She was a graduate of B. T. Washington High School and attended 
Virginia Union University.

Besides her mother and husband, surviving are a daughter, Miss Karen D. Johnson 
of New York City; two brothers, Samuel Savage and Walter Savage, both of 
Washington; and a grandchild.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Jones Funeral Home in charge.
