NORFOLK - During the early morning hours of Oct. 28, 2006, Edith Frances 
Scoggins Johnson was listening to the angels telling her God's command, "It's 
time to come home to be free and rest Edith." She was born March 31, 1931, to 
the late Hobert and Ruth Scoggins in Boykins, Va., where she was also educated. 
She retired from George's Seafood as head cook after her failing health. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Richard Johnson of Norfolk; a 
brother, Cleon Scoggins of Philadelphia; a very special and devoted niece and 
her husband, Brenda Scoggins Elliott and Joseph Elliott of Chesapeake; and a 
host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

A funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. in Fitchett Funeral Home Inc., 
Chesapeake. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk. Fitchett Funeral Home 
Inc. is handling the arrangements
