The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday July 13, 1954
William (Bill) Lankford Johnson, 54, son of the late Jeptha W. and Mrs. 
Susie Wilson Johnson, died yesterday at 12:14 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 2701 Dunkirk Avenue at 
the time of his death.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Wallace, and a grandson, Robert 
Wallace, of Vallejo, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Pope and Mrs. Lucille 
Belote; one brother, Ernest Johnson, and an uncle, S.M. Wilson, all of 
Norfolk; two nieces and one nephew.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tomorrow at 
2 p.m. by the Rev. C.J. Hollandsworth, pastor of Lafayette Presbyterian 
Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
