Norfolk - Lawrence L. (Sonny) Johnson Jr., of 719 Washington avenue, a Post 
Office employee 23 years, died recently in a hospital after a brief illness.  A 
native of Norfolk, he was the husband of Mrs. Emma D. Johnson and a son of the 
late Lawrence L. Johnson Sr., and Mrs. Nannie Bradley.  He was a member of 
American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO.

Besides his widow, surviving are a brother, Nathaniel Johnson of New York and a 
sister, Mrs. Lillie Taton of Norfolk.  A funeral service was held in Graves 
Funeral Home.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
