Virginian-Pilot July 29, 1949
Turner Marshall Johnston, Jr., 47, son of Mrs. Henrietta Beckwith Evans Johnston 
and the late Turner Marshall Johnston, died Thursday near Baltimore. He was a 
native and former resident of Norfolk. He resided for some time in Hanover County, 
and at the time of his death, at Leonardtown, Md.
He is survived only by his mother, of Ashland.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood 
Cemetery for services Saturday at noon, with the Rev. Norman T. Slater, rector of 
the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Meadowbrook, in charge.
