Virginian-Pilot March 30, 1958
NORFOLK - Josiah Jolliff III, 91, husband of Mrs. Sally Ann Nottingham Jolliff, 
died in a Norfolk hospital Saturday at 4:25 a.m. following a long illness.
He was a native of Great Bridge and had been a resident of Norfolk most of his 
life, residing at 1400 Walnut Hill St. Mr. Jolliff was a retired contractor and 
was a member of Epworth Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Josiah and 
Mrs. Sarah Ann Kilgore Jolliff.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Russell Jolliff of Norfolk and 
a number of nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to The Cox Funeral Home where funeral services will be 
conducted Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. Edgar A. Potts, pastor of Epworth 
Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
