WASHINGTON, D.C. — Eldred Leslie Jolly, 59, of 1228 Eye St., a former resident 
of Norfolk, died Sunday at 1:30 a.m. in a hospital after a year's illness.
A native of Norfolk, he moved to Washington 33 years ago. He was a son of 
Nicholas Jackson and Mrs. Gertrude Mae McPherson Jolly and a buyer for Woodhouse 
Stationery Co.
He is survived by two nephews, Donald N. Jolly of South Norfolk and Robert Jolly 
of Norfolk; and two nieces, Mrs. Dorothy E. Deaner of Chester and Mrs. Rosalie 
M. Dooley of Jacksonville, Fla.
A funeral service will be held in Cunningham Funeral Home, Alexandria, Tuesday. 
The body will be sent to Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake, for burial in Elmwood 
Cemetery, Norfolk, Wednesday at 1 p.m.
