Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, September 24, 1990 
Johnny ``Tallman'' Jones, of the 700 block of Pennsylvania Ave., a refinisher,
died Sept. 20, 1990, in Norfolk.

Mr. Jones, a native of Norfolk, was employed with Haynes Furniture Co. for 20
years. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice Jones; five daughters, Carolyn Parker of
Richmond, Maine, Latisha Jones of New Jersey, Andrea Jones of Norfolk, Pamela
Bailey of Chesapeake and Jonita Joyner of Georgia; seven sons, Johnny Woodbury
and Byron Sykes, both of Hampton, Christopher Jones of New Jersey and Derrick
Jones, Bryant Scott, Gary Sykes and Tony Sykes, all of Norfolk; a sister,
Deborah Jackson of Norfolk; two brothers, Charles Jones of Virginia Beach and
Bobby Jones of New York; and 16 grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Hale Funeral Home by the
Rev. J.L. Kearney Sr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the
family at 5349 Arthur Circle.
