David Jones - Funeral services for Mr. Jones of 2830 Oak avenue, who died in
Korea Feb. 14,1951, were held in Norfolk at the grave, Nov. 14 with the Rev.
Richard B. Martin officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with King Funeral
Home in charge.

Corporal Jones was a member of the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division.
He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on February 14,
1951. Corporal Jones was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's
Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National
Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
