Norfolk - Mrs. Cora L. Jones, 71, of 933 Goochland St. died Sunday at 6:45 
a.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a short illness. She was the daughter of 
Charley and Mrs. Manoly Mitchell and the widow of Urias C. Jones. She was a 
native of Norfolk and a member of the United Order of Tents No. 1 and New 
Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a deaconess and a member of the usher 
board.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Chapman of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted 
in New Calvary Baptist Church Friday at 1: 30 p.m. by the Rev. Samuel A. 
Wilson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
