Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday January 21, 1940
Miss Bettie Jones, aged 80, daughter of the late Harvey and Mrs. Georgianna 
Parker Jones, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at 9:45 o'clock 
yesterday morning at the Mary F. Ballentine Home.  Surviving are a sister, 
Miss Susie Jones, and four nephews, Arthur P., W. Barham and Kenneth S. Jones 
and Harvey Teasley, all of Norfolk.
Services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
1501 Colonial avenue, Monday at 12 o'clock noon with the Rev. Jason L. 
MacMillan, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, of which Miss Jones 
was a member, officiating.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
