The Virginian Pilot Tuesday March 13, 1956
Robert Monroe Jones, 59, son of the late Thomas L. and Lavinia Etheridge 
Jones, died at his residence, 411 West Freemason Street, yesterday at 2 p.m.  
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Overstreet, of Raleigh, N.C. and Mrs. 
S.A. Lipscomb, Jr., of Franklin, and two brothers, Thomas W. Jones and Jesse 
S. Jones, both of Norfolk.
Mr. Jones was a native of Columbia, N.C., and a resident of Norfolk for 40 
years.  He was a veteran of World War I.
The body will be taken from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Magnolia 
Cemetery for funeral services at the grave tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
