Virginian Pilot Tuesday March 9, 1971
Norfolk - Robert L. Jones of 219 W. 37th St., retired from Norfolk Naval Air 
Station, died Saturday in Hampton Veterans Hospital.

A native of Emporia, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Lillie Jones and a 
son of Goodin W. and Mrs. Margaret Kane Jones.

He was an Army veteran of World War I and member of Solid Rock Disciples 
Church.

Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Geraldine J. Stiff of Norfolk.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Solid Rock Disciples 
Church by the Rev. Alex Varner. Burial, with military honors, will be in 
Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home has charge.
