Self-Inflicted Wound Fatal to Robert B. Jones

Robert Bernard Jones, 62, of 1511 East Ocean View avenue, succumbed 
yesterday morning at a local hospital to a bullet wound in the head which 
police said was self-inflicted in his room at the East Ocean View address 
Tuesday night.  Ill health and financial difficulties were given as the 
motive.
Jones was a native and lifelong resident of this section.  He was a son of 
the late Thaddeus McCloud Jones and Mrs. Mary Brinkley Jones.  Surviving are 
two brothers, J. Allen Jones of Norfolk and Thaddeus Jones of Washington and 
one sister, Mrs. Pearl Knowlton of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the 
Graham Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley avenue.  Burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
Jones was a member of Berkley Aerie No. 795, F.O.E. and of Norfolk Lodge No. 
38, B.P.O.E.
