Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - October 6, 1990

Nellie Rountree Jones, 86, of the 100 block of E. 40th St., a retired 
accounting supervisor, died Oct. 5, 1990, in a hospital.
Mrs. Jones, a native of South Norfolk, had retired from the U.S. Department 
of Transportation after 15 years. She was the widow of John Paul Jones. She 
was a member of Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church in Chesapeake, 
First Senior Citizens Club of Chesapeake and Order of Eastern Star, Berkley 
Chapter 52.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara L. Stephenson of Virginia Beach and 
Ola R. Cropper of Riverside, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Barbara J. Amdusky of 
Virginia Beach; a stepson, John P. Jones Jr. of Virginia Beach; nine 
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Francis A. Gay Funeral 
Home, South Norfolk, by the Rev. Joe Savinsky. Burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral 
home.
