Norfolk - Final rites for Oliver H. Jones, 74, of 715 Chapel street, were 
held Monday in First Baptist Church, Bute street. The Rev. E. Paul Simms, 
pastor, officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with B. F. King Funeral 
Home in charge. Mr. Jones died April 15 in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk, he was the son of Charles H. Jones and Mrs. Agnes F. 
Jones and the husband of Mrs. Bessie Jones. He was a member of First Baptist 
Church and its Progressive League. A 1905 graduate of Norfolk Mission 
College. He was a retired route salesman of Rosedale Dairy.

Surviving, besides his wife, are four daughters, Mrs. Veola J. Collins of 
Norwalk CT, Mrs. Juanita J. Griffin of Norfolk, Mrs. Clara Natter of New 
York and Mrs. Ethel Ramsey of Chicago; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Roselee Mabin of 
Los Angeles; a brother, Charles H. Jones of Norfolk; and a grandchild.
