Funeral services for Milton Cornelius Jones were conducted from the First 
Baptist Church recently with the pastor, the Rev. Richard H. Bowling, 
officiating. Solos were rendered by Mrs. Marie Minter and Miss Mary Fallis. 
Mr. Jones was a sophomore student at Booker T. Washington High School here. He 
was a member of the Panthers Athletic Club. Pallbearers were Herbert Hall, 
Henry Brown, Arthur Gussum, Irvin Paige, Melvin Lee and William Paige. He is 
survived by a mother, Mrs. Emma Jones; three sisters, Miss Madge Jones, of New 
York City; Dorothy Jones and Janice Jones; and two brothers, Geo. Jones and 
Steadman Jones. He was buried in Calvary Cemetery.
