Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, July 27, 1991 
Evelyn C. Jones of the 1000 block of Anderson St., a retired bank teller, died
July 23, 1991, in a hospital.

Mrs. Jones was born in Enfield, N.C. She had retired from New Atlantic Bank. She
was the widow of Ralph Jones and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Adeline Lambert of Norfolk; five stepsisters,
Naomi Adams and Queenie Branch, both of Norfolk, Lena Silar of Portsmouth, Ruth
Brown of Washington, D.C., and Beulah White of Indianapolis; and four
stepbrothers, Melvin Lambert and Alexander Lambert, both of Chesapeake, and
Calvin Lambert and Dockery Lambert Jr., both of Virginia Beach.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Shiloh Baptist Church by
the Rev. John H. Foster. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be
placed in the church at 10 a.m. Monday. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
