Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, June 20, 1991 
Ruby E. Jones of the 2300 block of Nevada Ave., died June 15, 1991, in her home.

Mrs. Jones, a native of Tillery, N.C., was the widow of Atlas Jones. She was a
member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Survivors include eight daughters, Roberta Cherry and Carolyn Lynn, both of
Norfolk, Lenese Russell of Virginia Beach, Arlene Neal of Chesapeake, Benita
Lynn of Newport News, Eleanor Cherry of Trenton, N.J., Margaret Wilson of
Baltimore and Bettie Jenkins of Portsmouth; three sons, Allen Jones of
Willingboro, N.J., Sterling Jones of New York City and Paul Jones of Norfolk; a
brother, James Hines of Scotland Neck, N.C.; 51 grandchildren; 58
great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew Church of God in
Christ by the Rev. L. Jones. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family
will assemble at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
