She was an active member of the Gospel Choir of the church until she was stricken ill six years ago. The pastor, the Rev. E. Paul Simms, officiated. Mrs. Jones was active in other church organizations, and was highly esteemed by members of the church and people in the community. She is survived by two sons, George Jones, New York City, and Steadman, Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. Madge Jackson, New York City, and Mrs. Dorothy Fleming, Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bolden, Norfolk, and Mrs. Lula Williams, Philadelphia, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two nephews, three nieces and other relatives. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
