Norfolk - Mrs. Victoria N. Jones of 1428 W. 45th street, who died Oct. 25 in a 
local hospital, received final rites Wednesday at St. Marks RZUA Church where 
she held membership.

Mrs. Jones, who was 49, and mother of 15 children, also was an usher and choir 
member at St. Mark’s.  The Rev. Oliver Allen officiated at her funeral.  Burial 
was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of Hale Funeral Home.

A native of Wagram, NC, the deceased is survived by her mother, Mrs. Jessie 
Neely;  her husband, Thomas E. Jones Sr.;  eight daughters, Miss Francena Jones, 
Mrs. Hattie Williams, Mrs. Ursula Banks, Mrs. Thomasine Banks, Mrs. Kay J. 
Yates, Mrs Harriette Teshora and Mrs. Georgia Bullock of Norfolk and Mrs. Ella 
L. Watson of New York;  seven sons, Isaac L. Jones of Ft. Bragg, William A. 
Jones of New York, Russell H., Edward L., J. Christopher, Derrick L., and Thomas 
E. Jones Jr. of Norfolk;  a sister, Mrs. Annie B. Valentine of Norfolk;  and 22 
grandchildren.
