Norfolk - Mrs. Laura Lee Crowe Jones, 75, of 918 Anna street, church founder, 
and school teacher of Littleton, NC, died recently in her home after an 
extended illness.

A native of Dunn,NC, she was the widow of Hezekiah J. Jones.  She was founder 
and president of Hope Bible (prayer) Band and Community Church of God in 
Christ at Lamberts Point and founder of Dorcas Faith Home for the Aged.  She 
was a member of Garden of Prayer Church of God in Christ Temple, Portsmouth.

Surviving are three sons, Hezekiah Gerard Jones of Norfolk, Olive W. Jones and 
Robert Jones of Philadelphia;  two daughters, Mrs. Hortense Willis and Mrs. 
Lauretta J. Jones of Norfolk;  one brother, Clinton D. Crowe of Dunn;  20 
grandchildren;  and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held in Garden of Prayer Church of God in Christ 
Temple, 812 Washington street, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Norton B. Wilder.  
Burial was held in Calvary Cemetery, with Riddick Funeral Home in charge.
