Norfolk - Samuel F. Jones of 827 Lamont street, the husband of Mrs. Delia M. 
Jones, died recently in his home after a long illness.  A native of Fort 
Bondville, NC, he was a son of the late Frank and Mrs. Channie Jones.  He 
retired from the Norfolk Naval Base as an oiler after 12  years.

He was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and Credit Union.

Besides his widow, surviving are a brother, Joseph Jones of Brooklyn, and nieces 
and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in First Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. R. L. 
Edler.  Burial will be in the family plot of Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral 
Home in charge.
