Norfolk Journal and Guide, Aug 28,1954
Robert Jones, 71, of 1305 Wide street, died at 3 p.m. Aug. 14 at a Norfolk 
hospital following an illness of about three weeks.  Funeral services were held 
at 12 noon Aug. 20 at King’s Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. M Jordan 
officiating.

Mr. Jones was a native of Mississippi, and lived in Norfolk about 20 years.  No 
known relatives survive.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
