Norfolk - Funeral services for Gene Jones of 2817 Myrtle avenue, were held in 
Grace Episcopal Church on Tuesday by the Rev. Joseph Green.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Home in charge.  Mr. Jones died June 18 in 
a hospital.

A native of Pine Bluff, AR, he was the husband of Mrs. Lola B. Jones and the son 
of S. L. Jones and the late Mrs. L. Ella Jones.  Mr. Jones was a teacher at 
Jacox Junior high school for four years and a member of Grace Episcopal Church.

Other survivors are a son, James T. Jones Jr. of Norfolk;  three brothers. W. 
Lawrence Jones and Clyde Jones of Norfolk, and James T. Jones of Gary, IN;  and 
four sisters, Mrs. Osceola J. Shields of Norfolk, Mrs. Bessie Jordan and Mrs 
Ruby Phillips of Pine Bluff, and Mrs. Helen J. Hall of Roanoke.
